What are the USDA and Sunset climate zones for Mountain View, CA? Mountain View is in the SF Bay Area,
along the bay, although it's not foggy like San Francisco, nor scorching hot like Gilroy. It's at sea level and
directly on the Bay.

Sunset Western Garden Book puts you in zone 17, and USDA puts you in zone 10a. Your average winter lows are 30-35 degrees. You can grow almost anything in your garden - almost all year around! Lucky you!
