Hello, I live in Moreno Valley, CA and three years ago we planted the strawberry guava fruit plant. It hasn't grown tall as of yet, lot of flowers come, but no fruits have come so far. How long does it take for it to get fruit?

Thanks

Sadhana

If your strawberry guava is otherwise healthy, there are only a few reasons for it not to bear fruit. One is immaturity, the other is inadequate pollination. If your strawberry guava is flowering, it should be mature enough to bear at least a few fruit so lack of pollination is probably the problem. It could be that your plant is flowering early in the season before bees and other pollinating insects begin to visit your garden. You can try to have at least a few plants in your garden that flower at the same time as your strawberry guava to attract bees to your garden. Once they get there, they will visit the flowers of your strawberry guava and transfer pollen, which should result in fruit. Best wishes with your garden!
