|I want to plant my cranberry cotoneaster on a west facing slope where it will receive a lot of cold winter wind. Can the plant take it?
|Once it is well established it should tolerate winter winds but until then you may want to erect a temporary wind break. I use a couple of stakes on the windy side and secure some burlap to the stakes. This will effectively block the wind. After the second winter your cotoneaster should be able to tolerate the wind. Good luck with your landscape!|
