I have some purple, red and peach daylilys and I would like to transplant them soon.Should I cut the tops of them off before replanting them and also should I plant only one stalk or two or three together? Thanks!

You can remove the spent flowering stalks but leave the foliage on the plant when you dig and divide. As long as each division has both roots and leaves, it should transplant well. I'd divide each clump to make a single new plant. Water them well after replanting and by next spring they should be well established and ready to grow. Enjoy!
