There are many species of ants which occur in lawns and other turfgrass areas. Most ants do not require controls and are considered beneficial. However, ants may become a nuisance by constructing mounds or small hills in the lawn or by invading the home from the yard in search of food. You can use a botanical such as Bug B Gone Max or Scotts Step 3 on your lawn to control ants. There are some Bayer Advanced products that will work, too. Just be sure to read the label and apply according to label directions. Good luck with your landscape.
