Snapping Flower - Knowledgebase Question

When my husband was a kid, one of his friends moms had a plant on the side of her house that flowered, he thinks light purple. When they would squeeze the flowers, they would snap . I said boy, she must have been mad, but he said she never told them to stop and the flowers were ok. Is there a plant that the flower snaps? I would like to get one for him.

He's not making it up....my grandma had one too! The flower he is talking about is "Touch Me Not", botanically known as Impatiens noli-tangere. Try this link, its the only place I have ever seen them:
