I need to transplant my rubber plant into a bigger pot. Do I use regular potting soil or cactus soil? The soil the nursery used looks kind of sandy to me.

Ficus elastica is a tough plant but it will not tolerate overwatering, or wet feet. It grows best in soil that drains quickly, so if the potting soil it's in is on the sandy side, it's to facilitate drainage. You can use regular potting soil but be sure to let the soil dry out between waterings. A soil mix for cactus has more sand in it than regular potting soil and would be a good choice as well.
