Avocado Tree - Knowledgebase Question

I recently planted a Fuerety Avocado tree. I planted it when the weather was really hot and I should have waited. Some leaves have dropped off because they became dry. I have been giving it plenty of water since, and it seems to be ok. When will I know or see some new growth on the tree?
Thanks, Tom from San Diego, CA.

You should see some new growth in November or December. It can take several months for your tree to establish its roots and begin to perk up. I'm sure it's fine, though, and you should see some improvement this winter. Hope you eventually have a great harvest!
