When do you start pruning?

Pruning is usually done in the spring for evergreens or immediately after the plant has finished flowering. If you prune now you'll encourage lots of new growth. If your garden regularly gets winter freezes, the frost can damage the new growth. I'd wait until next spring to do any pruning.
