Will deadheading my knockout roses make them bushier? They seem to be getting leggy.

Deadheading is the removal of spent flowers. Pruning is cutting back stems on your plants. To answer your question, yes, if you prune your Knockout roses on a regular basis you can make them full and bushy and they will bloom more often because they bloom on new growth. You can prune them back by about a third without harm. I prune mine back in the spring and then prune them back by several inches every 6 weeks during the growing season. Each stem that you prune will develop two new stems. Enjoy your Knockout roses!
