There are approximately 600 species of holly! Hollies are dioecious, having separate male and female plants. The females produce berries but only in the company of a male. Hollies are named so you know which is which. For instance you can find China Girl and China Boy, Blue Prince and Blue Princess, etc. Choose one male for every 5-6 females and your female plants should have an abundance of berries. Enjoy!
