How is the best way to rid my land of the pachysandra? It is growing flat on the ground covering the entire front yard.

Pachysandra is a tenacious plant often used for a low maintenance groundcover in spots where cultural conditions are difficult, such as where it is too shady or otherwise impossible to grow a good lawn, or occasioanlly on slopes where a lawn would be dangerous to mow. If you are absolutely sure you want to get rid of it, you can try hand pulling it and carefully sifting out all the roots, smothering it with several layers of damp newspaper or cardboard topped with several inches of mulch, or spraying it with a herbicide such as glyphosate, waiting about two weeks for the plants to translocate the chemical to the roots and then raking away the debris.
