Cutting Gladiolus - Knowledgebase Question

I have a beautiful little cutting garden on my deck. I have gladiolus that are now blooming. If I cut some of the stalks with blossoms will they produce another stock of blooms? I know some flowers will produce more blooms if you cut them but wasn't sure if glads are the same way. I would appreciate your expert advice.

Glads will produce only one flower stalk per plant per year, but they make excellent cut flowers, so go ahead and enjoy them in arrangements. If you cut selectively you can have glads in the garden as well as glads in flower arrangements, and no one will be the wiser. Enjoy!
