I'm in zone 8. Am I able to plant the choconiana outside or will it freeze here? Should I only plant it in a pot & consider it an inside plant? Thanks!

Heliconia is a tropical plant so I would keep it in a container. You can enjoy it outdoors on a deck or patio in the spring and summer months, then take it indoors during the fall and winter when temperatures get below 40F. Enjoy!
