I planted this in a container for the deck. Do I need to bring this plant inside for the winter or will it be ok and regrow next spring. Can I cover it? What do I need to protect this plant? Thank you, Taffy Homyak

Chinese Lantern is hardy to -50F (zone 2). Your plant should overwinter without any protection at all. The tops will die down but the roots will remain alive. You can collect some seeds from your plant now and sow them outdoors next spring. The plants should be fine in your garden or in a container on your deck. They are quite hardy!
