I'm trying determine what mulch(s) would be best for a school courtyard. And how much is needed in an area of 75 sq. yards.

Cost will probably factor into your decision. Bark nuggets are durable but will need to be replaced every 3-4 years and they are light enough that they may be kicked or carried away on pant legs, shoes and socks. Rubber mulches are more permanent in that they are heavier so won't tend to be accidentally carried away, and they are more durable in that they will not degrade or decompose. The amount you need will depend on the depth of the mulch. You will need 6.5 cubic yards if you spread it 3 inches deep; 8.4 yards if your mulch is 4" deep.
