The mushrooms are growing because some organic matter is decomposing in the area. It could be an old tree root, a piece of lumber or even a thick pile of leaves or other yard debris. To keep mushrooms from sprouting you'll need to remove the source of their food and help the area dry out. Rake or scrape debris out of the area and that should help.
