Is there something other than Iris borers that would cause the plants to have brown tip leaves, poor growth overall and very few blooms. The plants look stunted somehow, not long and reaching. Thank you.

If your iris are overcrowded or are not getting adequate sunlight they can perform poorly. You may simply want to dig the irises, divide them, amend the soil with organic matter and replant them. Sometimes this will give them a new lease on life. Hope it works for yours!
