caterpillars on mandevilla - Knowledgebase Question

there are numerous orange caterpillars on our mandevilla. What is the cause of this? I don't want to pick them off.What should I use?

The orange caterpillars could be butterflies or they could be moths. I'd hate to see you kill off the next generation of butterflies! Why not take a few in to your local nursery to see if someone can help with identification?

Bt (bacillus thuringensis) sold as Dipel or Thuricide is effective against caterpillars. Be sure to apply according to label directions.
