If your iris are overcrowded or are not getting adequate sunlight they can perform poorly. You may simply want to dig the irises, divide them, amend the soil with organic matter and replant them. Sometimes this will give them a new lease on life. Hope it works for yours!

Should I do this now or wait until spring? Thank you.

You can dig and divide your irises now. Hope they bloom nicely for you next year.
