|can you divide mums. i have some mums i put in last year the got huge this year even with trimming them back all summer. so i wondered if i could divide them when they're done blooming.

|You can divide your mums after they have finished blooming or in the spring when they first begin to grow. Either way, dig the entire clump and cut through it to make smaller divisions. As long as each division has some roots with some green stems attached, each will grow into a new plant. Best wishes with your garden!
