hawthorn white (small) - Knowledgebase Question

I have a small hawthorn white. planted back in Aug. it still has not produces flowers and has not grown at all since I put it in. It is still green and makes a nice little bush but thats all. How/when is it supose to bloom?

It could be a White Indian or a Winter King hawthorn. Both grow well in Florida. If you planted yours in August, during the height of the summer, it is possible your hawthorn is just trying to establish itself. Transplant stress coupled with heat stress can retard growth. I'd give it a chance to establish and recover over the winter months. You should see lots of new growth in the spring, and some flowers, too. Enjoy!
