My Christmas cactus that looked so beautiful last christmas is pale green and somewhat droopy looking. what did I do wrong and is it possible that it might come back looking good again?

You may be overwatering your plant. After it finishes blooming it needs a period of rest. It should be watered sparingly during this time - don't let the plant wilt, but do allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. After about 2 months you can begin watering regularly again and feeding every 4 weeks with a half strength dilution of water soluable fertilizer. Give it bright light but not direct summer sunshine. I think once you begin feeding, your Christmas cactus will recover. Hope so!
