my arizona cypress started dying and then developed brown round cluster on it. I dug it up but I found a small spot on another cypress. What is it?

I can't really diagnose the problem with your cypress without actually seeing it. Arizona cypresses are relatively insect and disease free but can develop rust (fungus). I'd recommend cutting out the affected part of the cypress and taking it to your local cooperative extension office for positive diagnosis and control measures. Contact Mojave County Cooperative Extension, 3417 N Verde Rd, Golden Valley - (928) 565-2989. Helpful folks there can offer suggestions to help save your tree.
