|The first year they didn't bloom. Second year bloomed late in August and have many flowers. Do they need to be cut back when blooms die or leave them as is?

|You can leave the plant alone or you can cut it back by half. I tend to leave mine alone until late winter or early spring and then cut it back by half to keep it from getting too leggy. The reasoning behind leaving them uncut over the winter? I just like the look of the plant when it has frost on the leaves and an light coating of snow. Either way, your plant will rebound in the spring and should flower right on time for you. Enjoy!
