After installing irrigation piping, the yard has low spots/strips above the piping that need to be leveled out with sand. When is the best time to fill sand on the strips to make it easiest for the lawn to re-grow? Lawn has both cool and warm (Bermuda) season grasses.

You can add sand now - about a half inch at a time - waiting until the lawn emerges from below the sand layer before adding more. It will take several months but if you spread sand in 1/2 inch increments, your lawn will grow through it just fine. Best wishes with your lawn!
