You can grow most any vegetables in Tennessee, but I'm sure there are varieties of those crops that are best suited to your region of the state. If you have a garden already to plant, you can get still get some fall crops in this year: beans, beets, chinese cabbage, lettuce, spinach, radish, and kale, for starters. Also, late October is the time to plant garlic. For a list of varieties that do well in your locale, contact your county agricultural extension office (ph# 423/476-4552), and request a list. Enjoy your new garden!
