No Grow Weeping Japanese Maple - Knowledgebase Question

I live in NC, and planted a Jap. Mable in the spring. It appeares healthy. But there has been NO new growth since it was planted. What am I doing wrong. I know they are slow but there hasn't even been new leaves. Suggestions?

Japanese maples put out the majority of their new growth in the spring and since you've recently planted yours it is probably using all of its energy to become established in your landscape. Look for lots of healthy new growth next spring once the roots have adjusted to their new home. Enjoy your landscape!
