Purchased 4 triple Adonidia palms. On two of them, the canes have rotted/fallen off. Have been planted for 6 months. The frond turns yellow then brown and the entire cane falls off leaving a stump. Is this a disease?

It sounds suspiciously like root rot. Dig up one of the affected palms and check the root system and the soil drainage. Mushy or rotted roots will have an odor and be an off color. Overwatering is the main cause of root rot, but palm grubs can feed on the roots and cause the same symptoms. Since two of the four are affected, I suspect root rot. Hope the other two survive!
