|I was lucky enough to get a cutting of an Irish Petticoat and now have 3 bushes growing. My question is when we bought our house 10 months ago there was a plant in a pot in the yard. I took it out of the pot and planted it in the ground. It has grown beautifully and looks very much like my Irish Petticoat except the leaves are not curled. Are there different varietites of Irish Petticoat?

|Acalypha wilkesiana 'Hoffmanii' is your Irish Petticoat plant. It is a member of the Euphorbia family and a very popular member of that family is a plant called Joseph's Coat (because of its many colored leaves). I suspect that's what is growing in your garden.
