Lavender should be cut back in the spring and then sheared lightly after each flush of bloom. When the flowers are spent prune them off the plant to encourage new growth during the summer months. Don't prune now - wait until spring. All are hardy in your gardening region so no mulch is required. Enjoy your garden!
