|Arborvitae growth will appear in the early spring, and continue well into autumn. The rate at which it grows will depend on the species in question and the growing conditions. Emerald Green arborvitae will grow at a slow rate of 6-8" per year when planted in full sunshine. Feed in the spring with an evergreen fertilizer such as an 8-8-8. Enjoy your landscape!
