Is putting mulch in flowerbeds recommended in the fall? If not, when is the best time to mulch your flowerbeds? Thanks

A thick layer of mulch will help suppress weeds, slow evaporation and help moderate soil temperatures. You can apply in the fall to help keep the beds weed free over the winter months. I'd place 3" of organic mulch in the beds. Good luck with your flowerbeds!
