growing flowers - Knowledgebase Question

i would love to grow some flowers this fall. i have never done so before and have no idea which ones do grow in this weather.i have a balcony. very little sunlight at the moment. and i have pots. what wil grow best and and when is teh best time to plant them and how long wil they stay . pls advice.

Some of the best plants for fall planting include pansies, mums, ornamental cabbage, snapdragons and primroses. They prefer some sunshine but most will flower nicely in bright shade. I'd plant them now and expect them to be colorful through the end of November and possibly into December. Enjoy!
