|It doesn't sound as though they are very happy! Wait until spring, then dig them up, amend the soil with some organic matter to help loosen it and hold moisture, and then replant your burning bushes. Be sure to water them once or twice a week all season long. After replanting you can feed them with a time release fertilizer (such as Osmocote). By next fall they should be well established and growing at a faster rate. Be sure they are getting lots of sunshine. The leaves of your burning bushes are cold sensitive and cold weather is what prompts a color change.
