|Don't you just love the contradiction? Hydrangeas do best when given a few hours of morning sun and shade from the hot afternoon sunshine. Although they will grow in full sun, they will wilt when it gets too hot. They bounce right back overnight, though and look great in the morning. I don't like to look at the wilted leaves so I plant mine in places that get morning sun (for good flowering) and afternoon shade (so they won't wilt). Hope this clarifies things for you!
