I will be moving in the next month. I have plants that I want to move to my new home. Can I dig them up and replant them now? The plants I want to move are: stargazer lilies, 2 beds of irises, carpet bugle

I don't blame you for not wanting to leave your plants behind - that would be like leaving dear friends behind! You can dig your plants and replant them now. Don't cut them back or remove any green foliage. It will die back on its own and at that time you can remove it. The plants should be just fine in your new yard and will establish over the late fall and early spring months. They should perform well next spring and barely notice they have been moved. Best wishes with your new garden!
