Desert rose needs excellent drainage so either repot in cactus mix potting soil or add builder's sand to regular potting soil. Use one third sand, two thirds potting soil if you are mixing your own. Desert rose grows best if it is slightly potbound so if you are repotting, choose the next sized pot which will provide an inch or two of growth space that the original pot could not provide. Cactus mix potting soil is usually found in the indoor gardening section. Best wishes with your plant!
