Wondering what shrub would work well in my front yard. Part shade and needs to get at least 3' tall. Evergreen would be nice too.

You might consider Chamaecyparis obtusa (Dwarf Hinoki Falsecypress): dwarf & slow-growing cultivars including ?Elmwood Gold?, ?Filicoides?, ?Kosteri?, ?Nana?, ?Nana Gracilis?, & ?Nana Lutea?. Osmanthus heterophyllus (Holly Osmanthus) is a slow growing evergreen with variegated leaves that look like holly leaves. Bird's Nest Spruce (P. abies ?Nidiformis?) has dark green needles. Thuja occidentalis (P. abies ?Nidiformis?) is a Virginia native and is small in stature with dark green needles. Hope these suggestions are helpful.
