|Purple Millet Ornamental Grass is an annual in cool winter climates such as yours. It is available in both seed and plant form. If you sow the seeds or plant little transplants in the early spring, you can enjoy the plants all summer long. They will die in the fall but not before setting seeds. Collect the seeds from your plant and sow them next spring for another show. Enjoy!
