Hi I live in Phoenix, AZ. I started last Sunday (6 days ago) on starting a new lawn from seed. I removed rocks etc. and spread scotts new lawn fertilizer then watered. I sowed the rye grass with a 1/4 inch of composted steer manure on top. I have been watering 4x daily. I see no germination yet, shouold I be worried? If I should be, what do I do next?

I think the seeds will begin to sprout within the next few days. Although our daytime temperatures are nice and warm, they're not hot (which encourages fast germination). Most seeds will sprout in about 10 days, but some take 14 days. Don't give up yet!
