I live in zone 6, northern ky and cincinnati area.when should I cut my butterfly bushes back.

Butterfly Bush, also known as Buddleia davidii, blooms on new growth. Therefore, stems should be pruned back in early spring to encourage large, lush flower spikes. Prune to about 6" above ground level.
