I have noticed bumps on some of the lower leaves of my potted mandevilla but have not seen any bugs. It does look like something is wrong though. Is there something I should be doing?

Little gall mites can leave raised areas where they've been feeding so to be on the safe side, pinch off any affected leaves. This way if there are mites on the leaves, you'll eliminate the problem. After you have removed the affected leaves give your mandevilla a shower with a strong stream of water. Make sure to direct the spray at the undersides of the leaves, too, as well as the stems. This should dislodge and rinse away any mites that may be taking up residence. Best wishes with your mandevilla!
