Start by removing hiding places such as garden debris or any dark, damp place where they might rest during the day. Then use an iron based slug and snail control product such as Sluggo. This particular product is harmless to wildlife, pets and people but does a good job controlling pesky snails. Any Sluggo that is not consumed will break down into simple iron, which is good for the soil. Be sure to apply according to label directions. Best wishes with your garden!
