Since root mealy bugs seem to prefer peat-based mixtures to soil-based growing media, and the organic potting soil you already have has peat in it, how about purchasing some cactus potting soil? It should have lots of sand and gravel in it, which should deter the pests. You can purchase cactus potting soil in small bags in the indoor gardening section of your store. Mix it half and half with your Organic Choice potting soil. It's worth a try!
