Are snap dragons hardy enough for outside in the winters of North Carolina. I'm guessing they are annuals.

Snapdragons are annuals and they perform best in the spring or in the fall months. They will self-sow if you allow the spent flowers to develop seed pods. You can either harvest the seeds when the seed pods turn a tannish brown, or you can simply allow them to spill their seeds into the garden. Either way you will have lots of new snapdragon plants next year. Enjoy!
