Our two Foster Holly trees are being eaten by something but I cannot see it.

The leaves are being eaten away. The trees are certainly growing but this is preventing them from blooming. They are now filled with partial leaves.

Please advise.'

Sounds like damage from the holly looper (Thasanopyga intractata). These little caterpillars are sometimes called inch worms and they are the same green color as the undersides of the leaves so they are difficult to find. But, since they are caterpillars, they are susceptible to Bt (bacillus thuringensis) which is sold as Dipel or Thuricide. Be sure to use according to label directions. Good luck with your hollies.
