You can make a roundy moundy out of a boxwood by pruning with hedge trimmers. Prune when new growth is appearing - usually spring, but in Florida it can be this time of year, as well. Try not to remove more than a few inches of growth with each pruning session and plan to prune it several times a year to encourage the round shape you desire. It's possible, but it takes time. Once you get the shrub into the shape you want, just continue to prune every few months. Good luck with your project!
