I have the monkey grass that has bleached out streak in it every year what causes that? Looks like its dying but never dies

I know it looks odd, but it happens quite often if the soil dries out at the root level. Although the rest of the plant looks perfectly happy, a few blades can bleach out if the roots they are attached to do not get enough water. You can cut these blades out of the plant (or pull them out), or you can dig the plant and divide it, removing the roots and the blades of the bleached out areas. This should permanently remove the problem. Best wishes with your garden!
