|I recently got some fresh seaweed and wanted to prepare seaweed extract. Do you have a method for doing so?

|Seaweed extract is simply a concentrated seaweed tea. You can make a tea by soaking seaweed in water. Making a concentration would involve evaporating some of the water - not an easy task on a large scale. A better method would be to dry the seaweed by laying it out in the sun and then crushing or crumbling it, and using it as a soil amendment or top dressing around your plants. This method would give you the advantage of the trace minerals in the seaweed, and it would enrich your soil with organic matter when you worked it into the bed at the end of the season.
